On a part of the box, however, it appears the mark "Brepols Paris", not corresponding to the first company, but to a branch, which continued to operate in France as a producer of stationery. CHARLES PRY (1915 - 1987)
Pry was one of the founders of a group of Belgian avant-garde artists known as "La Jeune Peinture Belge" founded in Brussels in 1945 with the aim of holding exhibitions of contemporary Belgian art Throughout Europe. Avid collector of playing cards, fertile genius, graphic of value, was active in inventing new games from 1964 to 1975. His technique was that of linoleum engraving and hand coloring. He has produced some decks of cards in very limited series.
